Hey Guys not sure if these is the right place to post this. My friend who lives in Montreal Quebec just told me over lunch that she paid nearly $1,000 dollars to have her alternator replaced by a BMW dealer!!!
Can you believe this??? I replaced my alternator with one I got from the forum for $25 with shipping, did it myself in under an hour and I'm no mechanic. They charged her for 5 hours at $115 per hour plus parts. If I go to Canada I will go and punch the service manager in the face.
So if anyone in Montreal has a mechanic they recommend let me know.
I know you guys are going to say never send a woman to a dealer/shop etc.
