I have had mine for the last 5 years but worked in the field for only a year with Lear Sigalear before 9/11. I was doing turbine overhauls on M1 Abhrams. I had a job working secret squirell shit for a company out of Ft Walton Beach Fl. in Germany but that was enough pay for the TS clearance required for the job.

Sucks because the hassle of the TS investigation is mega stressful. Your life is under a microscope too for the entire time I did it. And as a USAF Reserve flyer every time I went to the middle east or area they deamed I had to debrief with OSI after a trip. Not worth it.

I never realized that, I know some people that had to talk with OSI at tech school. But I was looking at working with some companies down at Wright Patt when I graduated, which required a TS clearance. Never really thought about that, but now I would see where that would make sense.

I think it depends on the weapons system or level of need to know. As to how intensive they get.
