    Where to find Cabrio Hardtop?

I'm looking for a hard top for the winter. Anyone know where I can hunt one down?

You are aware one in good shape costs as much as your car is worth right?

To have one in my condition would be some $$. I had the headliner replaced with black cloth (more $$).

One just sold on eBay (here) for $1200, and it doesn't look stock to me. I'd want one that's body-colored, and this one just looks like a hard plastic convertible top. Anyone know if I'm wrong and this one is genuine BMW?

That is BMW Factory. It is covered in a very thin vinyl. You could have the vinyl stipped and then have a body shop repaint it. I dont know how good the surface is under the vinyl but I have seen some that are painted. They never came from the factory color coded.

The really cool feature is the when you put the top on, it redirects the power for the defroster. Instead of blowing hot air, it runs through the glass. 8)

I think its worth it since the price of a cloth top is $1200
