Scorpion Exhaust Pic/Info request

The PO had the Scorpion exhaust installed in my car.

The pipes are indented in the area where they clear the rear axle. Does the system come like this, or did some idiot think this was a good solution to clearance problems? The pipes, even un-dented, would still clear the axle by 2-3 inches.

I was wondering why the power just drops off in 4th and 5th on the highway, decided to check for airflow restrictions, and found that.:???:

I can't find any pictures online that justify this.

the stock exhaust has the same bends, my guess is it is supposed to be like that.

They're not bends though, the pipe is squashed.

The pipe on my es is the same way, so I suppose it's meant to be that way.

If you put the car up in the air, the trailing arm/ axle would hit the pipes.

My stock was like that, and my Scorpion is also like that.

Yea, I do love the sound. It's a bit crooked though and it drives me insane. I've got to see what I can do about rotating it a bit.

HAHAH Funny you mention that!

The solution rest with the flange where it connects to the cat.

I had the same problem (both times) when I was putting it back on, and I found out that you have to loosely put the bolts/nuts on the flange and tinker with it to sit straight. Mine sits straight now ;)
