1991 vert.. came with plastics, diving boards, or both?

i just snagged another vert today... 1991 325i, with plastic bumpers.

some of the 1991s ive seen have metal bumpers. was there a "1991 1/2" or something, where they switched over?

i did a google image search, and found several of each (plastics and metal) for "1991 bmw convertible"

Hell, I even got confused before realizing you'd done a swap on your '89. Anyway, to clarify for the OP, '91 was a transitional year for convertibles My '91 iC has plastic bumpers. It'll soon, hopefully, have the damned M-technic kit installed, once it's back on the road.

Man that bumper swap looks clean. Any tips? Especially for the rear?

Rear bumper mod is almost the same as the early coupe/sedan. I have not added a valance to the rear. Still looking for something I like. I am starting to like it better the way it is now.

I thought the rear bumper didn't have to be trimmed on cabrios?
