I wish I could go.. Saw the Daytona prototypes at Barber last year and it was a blast. I'll be at the Petit for sure but ALMS isn't quite what is used to be.

I'm heading down now (6 AM). I will be driving a white 318is [that will be covered in roadsalt].

The team/driver I work with isnt entering this year so I'm just going down to enjoy the civilian experience. Never done that before.

I wish i were there right now. Was there last year working for the Koni Challenge event, drinking for the 24hr. event. Good times. Instead i'll have to settle for Speed HD coverage.

Speed HD coverage is probably nice. Way better than the Grandstand view that has the bus-stop blocked or running around the infield for the best view of the horse shoes. You still dont get the noise and smell of things burning though.

I didn't get to watch the whole thing, but the last hour and a half was awesome. I expected JPM to win again, but it was cool that Donohue won on the 40th anniversary of his dads win.

Yeah the last few hours were very entertaining! I was suprised that Montoya was able to hang considering how much faster the Porsche's were on the straights.

SOOO just got back from the event....and now all settled in back home in bmore...WHAT A RACE!!!

not only was it my first time working in a pit crew for GREAT race team with a FANTASTIC car but our team had a P3 podium finish!!!! how exciting it was and it couldnt have been any better timing it was my dads 50th birthday celebration and he flew some 100 people not including the team to the event to be there and watch him race...it was also his as well as my first experience at a the rolex 24. it was a looong and hard race...but our car held up very well compared to the many other cars that dropped out of the race...we would have been happy just to even finish the race, or be in the top ten...let alone get on the podium!!

my dad has only been racing pro on and off for two seasons and has been doing pca racing for maybe a year so total he has about one full year of track racing experience but he held the car together very well and our 3 other drivers...bj zacharias, sasha massen, and patrick pilet were phenominal as well behind the wheel...which was another exciting thing because both sasha and patrick are factory porsche cup race drivers and there is only ten in the world and we had two racing for us! how awesome!

so here are a few teaser pics that i managed to find on the speed website...we took many..many photos that i think a lot of you will like very much! hehehe...thatll be later tho..so enjoi!

yea the dp cars were amazingly fast!!! i dont know too too much about the history of the drivers but i was proud of donohue to take the win on his dads 40th as well..plus i do not like montoya one bit..he is a cocky asshole (got to meet him in indy during a f1 race)..to see the dp cars go around the track with the gt cars was something else its crazy how fast they pull on the gts....

the last few hours were hell!! lol it was so stressful watching the time slowly tick tick tick down it seemed as if it ticked slower as the race got closer to the end...we all just wanted us to finish the damn race lol...the last couple laps were so awesome to see the 4 dp cars fighting for the lead...everytime they came around the track close to our car i held my f-ing breath and prayed they wouldnt come close and hit us!! you know how racing can get!! good thing our drivers were worried about that too and made sure to get the f-out-da-way
