Am I crazy? (snow driving question inside)

So, my e30 is lowered on eibach pro-kit springs. With 225/50/16s there was no way I was going to take it up the hill to go skiing. But I found some rims at pick n pull that i think might work. What I am worried about is chains... Take a look at the picture, I think i will be able to run chains with little issue.
    Old hotness

    New... oldschool.

Bonus question, anyone know what model of enkei rims those are?

    try these

I would just get a set of studded Bridgestone blizzak's or studded Nokian Hakkapeliitta in the narrowest size that will fit on you winter wheels for your drive wheels, that coupled with about 80lbs of sand and bit of ice melt in the trunk you will be able to go anywhere.

California has its crappy chain laws. That and I live in the valley, where it doesn't snow. It would just be a few weekends of going to the snow. I will check out the snow boots.

Yep. Sitting next to the front gate. They even cut the price for me. :D
They do have a little curb rash though. Brand new tires.

With "cable" type chains you'll be fine. Plenty o' clearance.
