      a 3mile radius is big, I'd get annoyed and quite immuned to false alerts, say from a police car off the highway on a back road driving parallel to me? Maybe i'm missing something :?

        I dont think i'd drive with it on unless I'm on a roadtrip...

          it's not big when you're using it on the highway, but I never had it "false" on me that I can remember. Usually, if it went off, I'd see a cop pretty soon. No different than a radar detector falsing out on you. To each his own though.
