    Best place for a used car loan?

    I hope that I can get some help here. I've been digging around the internet all damn day looking for a loan with no luck yet. Maybe some of you have dealt with this recently? Here's what I'm looking for

    Car: 2003 Civic Hybrid
    Loan: 60 months at 5-10% interest
    Amount: $5000.00

    So far most only want to lend 60% of value for 36 months because it is an 03. Fucking bastards... Thanks guys!

    try a local credit union. but for only 5k I would try to get a personal loan for that. But really for 5k your further ahead to save up and buy with cash.

      I have two cars that I am trying to sell and I may have to pay it down to make it go away :(

      2006 camry xle. My wife is tired of the payment and once both are sold then the 5k loan will be paid off. We just don't know how much we'll be out on the camry. Hell I'll be lucky to get 1200 for the mercedes the way they are selling around hear... bah.

          Prior Army. I thought you had to be active to start an account with them though?

          Edit::
          * Children of USAA members.
          * Active-duty officers and enlisted personnel.
          * National Guard and Selected Reserve officers and enlisted personnel.
          * Officer candidates in commissioning programs (Academy, ROTC, OCS/OTS).
          * Former military personnel:
          o Retired officers and enlisted personnel.
          o Former officers and enlisted personnel who separated on or after 01/01/1996.

          Edit again!

          USAA offered me 7.25% for 60 months. Enrollment for membership was easy too. Too bad I just found out the car has 170k miles. ugh I'll pass.

            My credit union wanted:
            20% down
            Would go no older than 2004
            36 month max on 2004
            48 month max on 2005
            60 month max on 2006-2009
            3.99% though so that was nice.

            Hell I'm only talking $100 a month for 5k . I just don't feel like laying out the cash at the moment. Once I get these other two sold Then I'll pay it off.
