NEW cold air intake kit ideas

Well after my old filter got discontinued I kept on selling the kit with a similar filter but not the one that has the clamp on end, so I decided its time to make a new setup.

I basically have an infinite supply of these filters because they are being custom made. I'm here for some suggestions not people saying how stupid cold air intakes are, if I can get cooler air temps than the OEM air box, snorkel, headlight shield setup I'm happy. I was really happy with my last kit, its was very unrestrictive, easy to maintain and really got cooler I.A.T's. this kit will be for basically all e30's because the filter is already shielded.

So please tell me what you would like to see included in this kit.
I can either do it the same way I have been with the hose that leads to the grill or I can have a nice short hose that leads to the triangle betwen each headlight, the triangle method would require the owner to dremel the slots so air can flow threw it.

The intake of the m20 isnt the restriction. and all those bends you are adding pre filter act to reduce flow into the filter itself. Why do you think you need to route the airfilter to the front of the car like that?

also most aftermarket filters left in a lot of debris and grit into your engine

thats why I like my old filter setup so much, because the filter wasn't restricted to breath threw the bends that was just its supply of cold air, it could breath threw the sides and it was extremely good at filtering, in a test it filtered way more than any K&N filter. thats why any suggestions are welcome, I could just go straight to the grill but then their is modifying of the grill which most people don't want to do.

Routing from a brake duct? Or possibly a fog slot.

brake vent would be easy but unless people are willing to cut into their car, that setup would also have bends in it.

this would breath threw the OEM headlight shield but then it defeats the purpose of the kit. we want colder air not as cold air as the OEM setup.

Looks good, the 2nd design is definitely superior. BeirBrenner, the intake velocity will not be high enough to be affected by that small little bend. Maybe if the air were moving at 200cfs, but at the relatively small velocities and volumes produced by our cars, it will have virtually zero effect.

Hey - what ever else is going to be said in this thread - I'll tell you this, I like your drawings. It really shows you put more than just a after though into this. Hats off to you. It's nice to see someone working towards backing up their claims.

anyway to create a vacuum effect without the vacuum...

                            ram air would be cool.
