    Planning a long trip...

    Planning a 700 mile trip in e30, things that need replaced?

              Yea, shouldn't be a problem if the car is maintained. Make sure your cooling system is in shape and the check the air in the spare tire.

                      car has driven strong for two years, replaced suspension parts, guibo, csb, driveshaft, put in 3.73 lsd ( which is going to suck on this trip ), although i will need to put on a new oil pan gasket before i go, it has started leaking oil... but thats honestly all i can think of

                          T-belt, water pump? My vert does 400 miles every few months when I visit my family, no problems besides road noise.

It's one of the downsides of an interference motor, where the pistons and valves occupy the same space but never at the same time.

                                          While you're in there do the water pump, it's the easiest time to get it done.

                                              One thing I always do before long trips is put together a kit with the most common tools I might need. The only thing worse than having a part fail on you 600 miles from home is needing to spend 10X as much as you normally would because someone else has to do the work.

                                                  I happen to have all the necessary parts in my closet if you're interested, if not still get that shit done.
