it has been done but not in the states as far as I know, You need a to either mod a oil pan from a form the e34 and and the cut an weld on the the through pass for the front drive shaft form you m20, or source the ultra rare euro only e34IX pan. I believe those cars were only delivered to the Sweden Finland and Norway and for only a 2-3 years if that. This is info I found several years ago and is kinda sketchy in my brain. but should be close, you up early or up late its way past bed time in MI lol

I'm up way to late. I don't have to work tomorrow so I'm sitting in the garage looking at my car and thinking I want a bigger engine. I can deff fab up a oil pan I'm sure. Just looking for a bit more info on the whole swap. I was going to build my M20 this spring and boost it but would love to go NA on a bigger engine. Also love the way they look in the bay.Comment

bong down read IX!!! there is almost nothing on how to swap 24v into an IX and retain awd. the guy is looking for other places to turn cut him some slack

Dude, do you think he is going to get any better of a response in this particular forum than in the forum that is specifically devoted to the topic at hand? The very reason that the 24v forum exists is so people ask questions there rather than here or anywhere else. And why don't you stop being a dick by quitting with the "bong down" comments. Chill bro. People like you make it very difficult for other people with questions to get answers. I have been on the e30 forums enough to know to search first. I have searched....for many hours. The info has been talked about but have only found a few who have done it. I am looking for a write-up. If and when I find one I will post it that way if some day comes when someone else is looking for the same info it can be found a bit easier. Isn't that the basic idea of a forum?Comment
