    Poland's E30 equivalent!!!

There's been a thread on cars most resembling E30...

This is The Holy Grail of Polish automotive history.

In many ways (ok. - in very few) it's just like 316i

    Weak engine, RWD, similiar weight.

Up to mid-nineties a Polish family dream car.

I'm posting this, because (believe it or not) this week Polish police officially stopped using those.

Clarkson in one of Top Gear episodes wrecked one...

Polonez's best known features were it's horrible suspension and "how the fuck do I turn" handling.

    Laugh all you want ;)

Come and get it! Prices range from 150 to 1000 USD depending on year and condition.

The FIAT 125P was quite a car! It's based on italian Fiat 124. Unfortunately very few of those left on the streets.

A common mod was 2,0L engine swap (original was 1,5) from Fiat Argenta. That gave you a 120bhp RWD car with less than a ton of weight!

really? I guess I haven't been back in Poland since about 2005. They use to be everywhere! Heh, I think I remember fitting 5 or 6 people in one of them for a very uncomfortable ride.

And yes a 2.0L engine would of been bad ass in those things!

Yeah - times change. There are even less and less E30s every year... But in 2005? You probably mean the small one - Fiat 126P. There are very few of those too now. Still popular in small cities.

                        Lemme search for some pictures...

I have a soft spot for Fiat 125P - I learned to drive in one belonging to my grandfather...
