I lubs my bronzit. I don't think the color looks dated at all. That is a common misconception only because most bronzits that you see on the street are beat to hell with paint in horrible condition. Any paint in bad condition makes a car look dated.

i actually like bronzit a lot. the only color i really don't like on e30s is red (unless it has a LOT of contrast from shadowline)...*puts on flame retardant suit*I retired my E30 for now...

I totally agree. I liked my bronzit E30 just fine, and I wouldn't have a problem with having another.Originally posted by C ///MI lubs my bronzit. I don't think the color looks dated at all. Thanks man. Appreciate it.Originally posted by rcwellsChris Mac's car is sweet tho, imo.
I love them. I think it makes it look more modern than anything. Not one person that has seen the car in person thinks it would look better without them. Makes the front end look incredibly more aggressive. The lack of eyelids/brows and clear, separated 5 1/4 headlights with a fully exposed grill is the most dated aspect of the e30.Originally posted by e30evolutionbody color eybrows make the car look dated... or like a volkswagen.... either way its no good

Its accually one of the most refined looking trade marks of the bmw styling of that eraThe lack of eyelids/brows and clear, separated 5 1/4 headlights with a fully exposed grill is the most dated aspect of the e30.

Yes, exactly (of that era) and you prove my point. We're talking about what makes cars "dated". Now hey, I'm all about the oldschool, obviously if I'm willing to take an e30 as far as I am, but anything that makes a car look more aggressive and maybe slightly modernize it is great in my book.Originally posted by cahomeyIts accually one of the most refined looking trade marks of the bmw styling of that era

I can accept that my car was made in the early 90's and don't feel the need to make it look "modernized." Also what do you think is modernized? newer looking? I perfer the styling of bmw's then much more then i do now. Thats just me.Originally posted by C ///MYes, exactly (of that era) and you prove my point. We're talking about what makes cars "dated". I can obviously accept my car started as a bronzit '86 eta and I love it to death. There's no reason why I wouldnt want to improve upon it. For one thing, that eta technology did fine up until now, but come on, it's getting pulled in winter. Are you saying you'd much rather have an m20 than an s50? There's being a purist and then there's being silly. Pulling an s14 is one thing, but the m20 is garbage...am I altering the grills and headlight configuration, no, i'm adding eyebrows....Originally posted by cahomeyI can accept that my car was made in the early 90's and don't feel the need to make it look "modernized." Plus, when do you think eyebrows were created...haha, they created before your car was built... I'd say you're argument was fair, but e30 eyebrows WAS late '80s styling.
Doesn't change the fact that it makes the front end more aggressive and a little more modern. I define modern as they way cars are coming today. Even lowering sprigns are "modern styling" because cars today come a hell of a lot lower than any e30 ever did. Anyway, to each his own on styling, but please don't try and imply that I don't appreciate my car's factory styling, that's silly. (EDIT: and rude I might add).
