    The great Gress goatf**k.

All the ingredients of a novel. Shop punks hero. Takes money, doesn't do work and won't give car back. Hero stakes out shop. Can see car but can't get to it. Calls cops and reports car stolen. After 4 day stakeout catches villain and calls cops again. Hero gets car back.

Friends of hero say "find a motor, bring car to track and we will swap engine in hours because we are mighty and can overcome all obstacles in our way".

Hero says "I am not worthy of such friends, but I will find a motor and get it to the track". Hero thinks "These are such terrific people. Too bad they are insane."

In 4hrs motors are swapped. 4hrs later and after much gnashing of teeth new motor runs. Fluid leaks cause some struggles but hero races the next day.

What a terrible experience. When all you are doing is paying someone to fix something for you, you get screwed over. Ughhh, this shit really pisses me off.

I have taken a side job or two myself, only later to find out I was in over my head, but was man enough to make it right, by paying for my mistakes with either time or money.

Everyone should be given a chance to make right, shit happens, stuff pops up, and bam, you literally are in too deep. But enough is enough man, I commend you for not shooting the guy.

Lesson learned, good luck getting everything back together.

OP takes car to get worked on. Gets the runaround for weeks, affecting his job/family, goes to the shop to steal his car back.

More interesting if you spend the 60 seconds to read it.

That sucks to read about and probably a million times worse to actually experience! Good luck with the money and have fun on the track.

On a better note I'm really enjoying reading all of your stories on your site!

OH wow reading this thread brings back nightmares of this Shop!

I'll make my long story short. I got screwed over by the same shop on an eBay transaction. I bought several items from this guy failed to send them. When I filed a "item not received" on eBay’s website, Alex Molitor himself started sending me threatening and harassing emails. He even threatened to get his lawyers after me. Luckily for me Alex didn't clearly read EBay’s policies. Once they got involved and I forwarded all his email I received from him he stopped. His eBay name is MMSBMW. Please read his feedback prior to purchasing anything. You will notice tons of negative feedbacks.

Saga update. I took the Molitor head to a machine shop. That's the name of the crooked shop in Atlanta, by the way. Alex Molitor's Molitor Motorsports. It was my pursuit of his "SpecE30 Special" head that started all of this. And when the motor ran poorly after he put his head on my motor, it was because my "old rings didn't like his new tight head".

And now the machine shop's report on the $1250 (plus install) Molitor head:

                            1) Most rocker arms are worn out and show obvious pitting.
                            2) Most cam lobes are worn out with obvious grooving.
                            3) Cam bearing surfaces are massively grooved.
                            4) The head's "Cam holes", which are the round holes that the cam bearings ride in are massively grooved. My terminology on cam bearings and head holes may be wrong.
                            5) An exhaust valve is bent.
                            And my favorite:
                            6) Head needs a valve job.

So the head is completely junk. Lol.
