So I snapped an exhaust manifold in 2 and cant get the rest of the stud out. Nut wont thread on because of the snapped thread, not enough threads there to back 2 nuts together to twist out anyway. Vise grips are not doing the job so as you could imagine the threads are now trashed. Searched and found this old thread http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...+exhaust+studs. Then searched more and found these http://toolexplosion.com/may29895.html, http://toolexplosion.com/kla0181-1.html, http://www.sears.com/shc/s/search_10...&gobutton.y=13. The head is still on the motor in the car. I cannot fit an impact wrench in there so my only options are hand tools at this point. Anybody have experience using stud remover tools? Which is a good one to buy/use? Or anyone local wanna let me borrow one :)?

I know. it was awe inspiring to me when I first heard it too.
Hours upon hours of messing with a mutilated knub, and a friend comes in with a welder and has it out in 10min.Comment
