    how desirable are metric OBCs?

In an effort to peace together a complete OBC kit for my car, i ended up with two complete kits. They are both canadian, which means the buttons are euro style, no MPH, just written SPEED for example or CONSUM instead of MPG.

how desirable is this vs standard american OBC? and how much can i expect for a kit with turn stalk, relay box, wiring, etc?

I hope this post is not what I think it is. If so, motion to ban?

On topic: I picked up a non functional euro obc for $20. I plan on using the buttons on a functioning us one. I would think the complete set up could bring in an easy $100 or so but I am not 100% sure.

        Cheers,

        Brian

It all depends on where you sell it. If it is different then the US one, then it would be worth a little more in the US since everyone wants to be euro here.

Aw shit, my bad, I thought you meant the metric vs imperial, like the switch on the back. MYYYY BAD!!!

              I fail.

And yea they're euro so they are more desirable.

yeah you fail hard, it's not even a switch on the back to convert metric/imperial, it's a button sequence.

anyway, i would have also laughed at the guy trying to sell a reg obc for more on ebay because it was set to metric units, so i guess i forgive you

he thought the guy was going to get flamed, so he wanted to be the first one in on it.

The switch on the back doesn't change C and F temps. Its controlled by a number of buttons on the front.
