Is this a good deal on tires?

I am getting Falken Azenis rt-615 in 215/45/16 for $485. That includes mounting, balancing, tax and four tires. What do you think about that?

sounds OK to me, not great but about what you would expect

That's a pretty good deal with mounting, balancing, and tax. A set of four will run $424 at Discount Tire Direct, so that's not too bad at all.

Its an alright deal, but the azenis just suck when it comes to wear. They wear out quickly I hear. I think I am just going to go for the khumo XS for 510, all mounted and balanced and everything.

You can get a set of 4 shipped for $438 from Vulcan tire. They are good tires though. They will wear semi quick, but they grip REALLY well. If your car is aligned to spec you can expect about 20,000 miles out of them.

I guess I still don't think 20k is bad, coming from sportbikes. A set of tires would be $350-375 mounted/balanced and you'd be lucky to get 4k out of them.

I actually ended up going with the Khumo XS, and got them mounted and balanced OTD 500 cash. I think it was a good deal since the khumo XS is a new tire and as far as I know, it is not a tire that I have heard being in the e30 world yet. I will be the lab rat and autoX these to tell everyone how they perform. So far, they seem like nice soft rubber that respond and ride very well. I love the tread pattern on them and they look nice and beefy. I jumped a size from my 205/45/16 Bridgestone So3, to the XS in 215/45/16. I seam to have no rubbing issues on Konig remembers, 7 in wide wheel on H&R Race and Billy sports with fender roll. I will keep the forum updated after my first auto x with these.

^I've considered those also when I get new tires, but they don't have a 235/40/17, only a 245/40/17.
