    My friends are awesome.

A group of us were hanging out at my friends apartment, and my friend Alex dropped this in my lap.

He was at a hobby store for whatever reason and saw this, and decided I had to have it :-D

    Sport seats!

I was even more surpised to see these - e30 recaros! The rarest of all seat options.

Given the fact the box says this is the "new" 325i, and it's an early model, I'm guessing this is a bit old.

I can't wait to put it together and paint it like my car :pimp:

Too bad the hood doesn't open, otherwise I'd be buying an e36 of the same scale for the swap!

I wish I had more friends like yours.

Don't touch it, leave it in the box and it's likely to fetch big bucks later on.

My brother has the identical model kit that he got when he was in the Motherland.

There's no way I'm going to take a gift from a good friend and try to flip it. I'm puttin' this shit together and using it to mock up wheels! Photoshop, pffffttt.

I've got a few of those kits. It's been released again with the Hartge parts and the M3 has been out also. You can usally pick one up off of ebay for around $5-$20 (used) I don't know what the new ones sell for but they are usally for sale in Japan on ebay. Revell also has that same kit but has smoked windows.

Post it up in this thread when you're done with it. http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=79807

I was in taiwan and there are hundreds of shops that sell models like this. Trust me, its not rare. I got a Lancia Delta Integrale model that I made and love it (my dream car). I will get an e30 one next time. Here is a tip tho... Be very patient with it because there are some small pieces and crazy glue can strip the paint. I reccomend tweasers and even a magnifying glass if possible.

I never said it was rare, I just imagine that those kits may one day fetch some pretty decent money if they are complete and in their original wrapping.

Oh well, it'll be neat to see some finished pictures of it.

One good thing about this e30 model kit, is that it's very basic and low on details. So not much effort has to really be put into it.

Nice, I got a kits, and a couple hard to find E34 ones too. I just display the box keeping everything inside intact cause whatever I build looks like crap, even the skill level 1 snap togethers.
