A few people I know have gotten good work in TJ done for a pretty inexpensive price. Anyone have experience with this or can recomend a place? Worst come to worst, I am going to go over there and just go with a gut feeling and go with someone who will do good work. Good thing I can speak Spanish.

Good idea, just be safe and don't act like an idiot. Speaking Spanish will doing you wonders and make you 10000 times less likely to have trouble. Two of my friends disappeared down there and have still never been found 4+ years later. Hope it works out.A few people I know have gotten good work in TJ done for a pretty inexpensive price. They do decent work, but usually use crappy materials. If you bring in your own fabric it could be awesome. But it is pretty dangerous right now. We used to go down there just to get tacos and come back or visit my friends relatives or recharge our AC but now it has gotten pretty bad. I wouldn't recommend going down there to save a few bucks.sigpicComment

After doing some research, I dont think it will be worth thedrive to go to TJ just for the upholstery work. I think I may just get it done around LA somewhere and I found a place that will do what I want for $650. And what I want is beige mellohide around the seat with black suede in the middle stitched horizontally (M and cabrio style), with the shift and e-brake boots redone included. The $650 also includes repadding to fill up the insides. How does that sound? I think it is pretty good. I will see if I can get it for 600 tho.Comment

Fucking LOL Blunt.
Hey, Bob said he was going to ask you about the exhaust on the S50 car for me. I'm curious whether you think 2.5" is better than 3".
BTW, graphikg, don't go to just any shop. Go to a place that you have seen some work from in person, so that you can evaluate it yourself.

i originally had the 3" made thats on your car and then went to 2.5 in an effort to quiet it down. it neither quieted it down nor made one bit of difference performance-wise that i could tell. it felt the same to me. i never dynoed it to actually see though.Fucking LOL Blunt.
