you'd be better off with stock manifolds and do like I did, take them to a shop who'll sandblast the shit out of the inside to take away the castings, then cerama-coat them, and put them on.
BTW, this was the day I got them back and before final detailing of the engine with all new stainless bolts and nuts throughout, (notice the smoothed intake painted chrome silver and clear coated)

yeah on a stock engine the best thing to do is fill the porous surface. The onyl advantage those would have then is equal lenght but even then the backpressure isnt going to make a difference on a stock motor. Its that last 5% those are for.

You have to admit tho, those Alpina headers are sick looking. Stock manifolds are just gay looking. Headers on a 2.5 are very much a apperance mod IMO.

but dam, that is a LOT of money for an engine bay appearance mod that isnt all that visible.

Maybe to someone with enough dough that they dont blink at 1k.

Hmm, what's that smell here? I smell...envy? Lol, just teasing. Those were some unreal headers, though. Someone must have some very, very deep pockets. $950 for him/her must be like $200 for most here on the board (or for some of us, free!) I agree with Ryan that that is a lot for an item rarely seen. But damn, what a converation starter; "So I was mounting my new vintage Alpina equal length headers to my race prepped M20 engine, blah blah blah....." Darn that f*cker for buying them, lol!
