    headliner replacement

Does anyone have a source for a headliner replacement kit? Is there one out there, or is this just wishful thinking? Mines destroyed

Ya the dealer can get you a whole new headliner. Or rscheiring on here makes a very nice black microfibre replacement. I just installed one in my car.

Beware though it is a big job and it is not easy. That said I had never done a headliner before or hardly any upholstery and I just went head first into it. I did not get it perfect but I was happy with the results.

I believe those plastic things are just glued to the fabric on late model E30s. My driver side one in my 88 is all fucked up too.

Black ones were factory on the '91 318is, so you might actually be able to get a factory one if they have any left.

I found a nice stock grayish white one and a black M3 fabric type. I think I'm opting for the gray-white one. If anyone needs the black M3, I paid $30 for it. Let me know.
