My alternator belt just shredded!!

yeah thats normal if you don't replace a worn belt or if something is wrong. Like a miss-aligned pulley or a seized pulley.

My alt belt pretty much exploded. I'm still finding pieces under my hood in unexpected places. Mine was long overdue for replacement and it snapped and got wrapped up in a pulley and then pieces were sent everywhere...

its normal for a cracked belt that needed replacement. make sure everything turns freely.

Hey guys, has this ever happened to you? i was rolling up to a stop sign with it in neutral and the thing just shreds while popping off the power steering belt and loosening the AC belt? is this normal? i assume just buy some new belts and it should be good?
