Fuel level read problem - what to replace?

My fuel gauge in the cluster along with the OBC level read out are all over the place. The Gauge either reads half tank or full...thats it. The OBS will read 6L one minute then 26L the next. There's no consistency.

I'm guessing this has something to do with whatever reads fuel level. What is the part called I'm looking for and where can I find it? I've looked around German Auto Parts and Pelican, but can't really find anything/don't really know what I'm looking for.

    Thanks for any help

Have you tried another gauge in the cluster?

The gauge and OBC aren't correct.

Unless the OBC reads from the cluster somehow, but that doesn't sound likely.

I had gauge issues caused by a bad si board.

All of the information (gauge and OBC) passes through and is interpreted by the SI board.

Would it be JUST one read out that failed though or would multiple read outs fail if the SI board was bad?
