Spec e30 class is going strong...
We've been allowed to be at Vintage at Vineyards with other classic BMWs...

Keep in mind that the 2002 has been mobile tradition for probably close to 20 years. You can still get damn near anything for that car.

In fact I think it was in the year 2002 mobile tradition built a "new" 2002tii completely from mobile tradition parts. Not really cause for panic in my opinion.

I think it was about built about 90% from parts still available.
Here is part 1 of 3 from a program on the subject.

Thats not my point. My point is nearly every part is still availiable for the 2002 through mobile tradition, after more than a decade. So why all the panic when the e30 has been on there a week. Everyone saying "stockpile parts now" and so on is blowing this way out of proportion.

Sure they do. I just had mine in last month for a new radiator, because it's too damn cold to pull one myself right now. Furthermore, there are no less than eight (8!) employees of the dealership I go to that drive E30's.

in that case you just have too much money then. Here in Germany, a BMW is like a Chevy and noone brings a 20 y/o cavalier to the dealer when there are 1000000000 small shops that labor charges are half the price.

I also don't see there being a real problem anytime soon with parts, but over the last few years, there has been more and more parts on the NLA list.-- my dreams of redoing my M3 seats with orig BMW leather are also popped--NLA!

I wonder when the e36 gets to be as old as the e30 are they just going to delete it from the inventory!!hahahah

a few weeks ago my buddy and me were talking-- back in H.S. I drove a 1964 Newport vert. and had a 1970 442-- they were just old cheap kinda cool cars at the time(1,500 dollars)-- back in 1992-------around 25y/o.

last year when I was daily driving my winter crapbox ETA it was also 25y/o--- I wonder if these cars are going to be anything like the cars I was driving when I was younger-- I would give up one of my nuts to have that 442 back-- I sold it for 800 dollars!!!!!!!!

all leads to he reason that last year I put together my Tech II turbo car-- it is going to just stay in the back corner of the garage and I hope I can give it to my daughter in 10 years and it actually be something kinda cool.

so does this mean our cars will up in price over the coming years?

If lucky, the E36 will die peacefully, in its natural habitat, and be given the prestigious honor of donating its parts to an E30
