Just got back from the radiology center...

I've been having this tightness in my chest for the past few days... went to the doctor and got checked out, everything seems fine (BP, pulse, sounds in lungs, etc.). She went ahead and sent me to the radiology center to have chest x-rays done, and they showed up all clear.

They seem to think it's allergy or stress related... anyone ever had similar problems?

I play lots of ultimate frisbee, occasional biking of about 10 miles at a time (maybe once, twice a week).

I thought I was having a heart attack. During a sporting event I almost collapsed from one of these fits (during season and I was young and stupid so this was my 3rd before telling someone about it). Went to the hospital for a battery of tests. Nothing showed up.

Out of the blue a physical therapist noticed something. From archery drawing massive tension many times a day (everyday when I was top ranked) had created an arthritic situation in my delt. The muscle was so strong that when it spasmed it created pain on all the tendions in my chest making me think the problem was coming from there.

Heavy therapy in the area and daily specific streches have alleviated that problem but it worries me about my possibilty of being competitive after college (no program at my school).
        Im now E30less.

What about back problems? Would that cause similar symptoms? I've had some problems in my upper back since I injured it biking a couple of years ago.

Seriously check it out. It felt like what would be described as a heart attack but was in fact a side effect of back spasms.

I basically took on a batch of streches to releive some tension on the muscle and it helped a lot.
