Can anyone in the south bay help me bend my shift lever?

Hoping to find someone in the south bay that can help me bend my shift lever. I would likely need to make use of your press or vise(I'd come to your place of course).

I have a cheap chinese drill press vise but my shift lever was too much for it(steel makes a loud sound when it cracks).

If anyone's willing to help out, that's be awesome.

    Thanks!!

The only sources of heat I have are my oven, my heater, and the sun. :-)

If you're around Oakland I can give you a hand.

Thanks!! I'm up that way occasionally so that may work. Do yo have a sturdy vise/press or something similar?

Bend my shift lever so it sits vertically in my car.

Why is it not vertical already. Sorry maybe I'm just really tired and not getting it.

24v swap with a g260 is one reason, but it could just be a weird combo of trans/arm/shift lever/mounts/etc.

                  Its probably the michigan thing...

When you try to fit a shift lever from a different car into an E30, the angles aren't quite the same. Search around for some pictures and it will explain. The X5 lever is the most obvious example.
