Yeah, we'll go with that. If I told you what we really did you'd all not stop at demanding pictures...

That Orange Gojo is a sight better than the regular stuff.

Most cars with rear suspension other than leaf springs or A-arms (any sort of pivoting trailing arm) will do this. Also beware that setting this type of rear suspension back on the ground with the E-brake set will push the car forward. This is not good if the front is still on stands. Be careful.

Listen Ovulator... You're right.. Wait no you're not, I'm not dumb enough to climb under my car without it supported.

has nothing to do with parking brake and teh trailing arm. its the geometric angle and settled compression of the shock. when you lift the car, because technically both front and rear are swing arms, the wheel base is slimmed. drop the car and the tires grab the ground, limiting the geometry from reaching its settled position. as you roll the car (or as tires slip outward) the cars height will come back to the settled position.

    Darwin can't get me!

I heard elsewhere that this was a quirk with the trailing arm suspension design. I'd never experienced it with such magnitude before, on the E36 is was only like a 1/4" thing, whereas with the E30 it was enough to almost be my downfall.

uhm, this isnt because of the ebrake or e30's suspension design, this is every conventional car known to man.
good to hear you're ok. darwin lost his grip on this round ;)
