Then she drove it for 6 months with out even checking the oil or anything once and seized the rod bearings. This is not her first e30 and she knew they burn oil.
Did she just ignore the CEL and keep driving it that way?

thats not that bad, but you could have done it yourself for much less... personally i try to avoid shops as much as possible unless i have a problem i really cant handle myself. my local shop is great tho, and theyll explain how to fix any problems i have. i just cant justify spending $4-500 on labor for something i could do myself for free

I'm not sure which job is the worst:

        1. subframe bushings
        2. clutch
        3. rear wheel bearings

        I think it's subframe bushings.

But yeah, for all that work, $760 isn't unreasonable.

ht as well and she trashed her rotors.

My sisters are the same way... Only one of them is aware at all about anything car related.

And I need to do all three of those in the coming months. :(

At least the clutch won't be as bad since the engine and trans will be out of the car.

I just paid about 620 for my job but they only replaced the belt, tensioner, front oil seals, water pump, and adjusted the valves. total came out a bit higher because of other stuff they did, but that was what they charged for the belt job.
