Building a storage crate for my spare M20

I have a spare M20 thats at my buddies shop. I want to build a crate for
it so its easier to move from the shop to my place and store it properly,
    in my garage.

Whats the best way to do this, make a box out of 2x4's?

Whats the weight of the engine roughly?

a 4 wheel engine stand is really cheap, like 40-50. Although I'm not sure how that would be for transporting. An m20 is in the high 300lbs range. ~380

No, an M20 is 258lbs. An M30 is only 315lbs.

I ROLL all my spare engines in the corner of my garage and throw a bunch of old Army blankets over them---- seriously!

does it really need a crate? it would be cool but I am just to lazy for that.

Yes I would like to crate it. I might be moving soon, and it would make it much easier to transport in the long run. I thought of the engine stand route, and it would take up too much room.

I was even considering buying a movers dolly, and building stuff around it.

            Thanks for the fast replies!
