i dont know why im getting involved with this but since you keep pestering me via PM i shall bring the story to light.

if i have this correct you bought a pair of rotor spacers from him last SUMMER. you were made aware that there was a error from the machine shop and were offered the choice/chance to either have them fixed from the same shop OR take them and fix them yourself just like the other 2 people that purchased the same item via s14.net. fixing them required sanding the centerbore down a smidge, no big deal. you decided to take the spacers and fix them yourself. now this is LAST SUMMER.

2 months ago (roughly, i dunno the exact date) you decide to contact curt and demand he fix the issue. reminding everyone reading this that you had the chance over 6 months ago to have this situation fixed by him. he offers to have a set made up JUST FOR YOU, if you return the spacers that you originally purchased. you decline and say he needs to either send you another pair or give the money back. i believe another conversation was made and you said you dont know where the original spacers have gone? i could be wrong on this.

the time to have rectified this situation was back after the original purchase was made, not wait 6+ months to decide you want to do something about it. i can agree that people get busy etc but 6+ months?

to me your just another scammer. so drop it.

It's funny, it took him absolutely no time at all, in fact I think it was the same day, to call me after he bought an eta motor from me to tell me that there was little bits of wire brush in small crevices from when the PO of the motor cleaned the tops of the pistons, and that he was going to have to rip apart the whole motor and have it gone over by a a machine shop, which he requested that I partially pay for (which I of course had no problem with).

FYI- I received the door panels from Curt last week and although they didn't include the parts as promised, I was okay just to get the panels after 4 months. Curt and I are square in my opinion.

I am not hoping the bandwagon but just a suggestion if the parts were worth more I would do it but that is not the case. I am only giving suggestions. I have already had to do this once and it was a pain in the ass but the guy had around 2 grand of my money so thats why I suggested it.

2. im not doing anything different than the people that go in and defend joe and his shop when something goes wrong there. when something happens with joe all the mods and whoever all come in and say how joe "always takes care of people, but is sometimes busy" etc and "call joe, he will get back to you eventually" that is ok and accepted. which doesnt make a lot of sense as threads like that up until recently popped up once a week almost.

It's obvious that you are a little too thick to comprehend what I'm saying so let me try and spell it out for you:

I didn't have a "miscommunication" as you put it. I told Curt to take his time ordering some door clips as it was December and I didnt have any plans to work on the car until spring/March. We communicated a couple times through January and February and he stated he was still waiting on parts. His last communication with me was right around Feb 23rd and then he became unreachable. I gave him more than enough time to communicate with me as well as trying every avenue including the email address that you PM'd me. Ultimately, it was a PM on a different forum that "got his attention" I remained courteous right to the end with Curt and even offered to buy him a beer when I visit this summer. The problem lies with you and your insistent behavior of wanting to be Curt's bitch and defend his actions. I'm quite certain that if Curt cared enough about what people were saying here, he would have honored his obligations and thus we wouldnt be here arguing.

Unfortunately thats not the case, yet you have the nerve to waltz around and justify his behavior.

Yes, I have brought you into this since you’ve stated that you see/talk to Curt on a regular basis.

My hope is that you would have been able to talk some cense into him.
#2 on your involvement, Curt used what I assume to be your pay-pal account, the email was smonkbmw@yahoo.com. That is your account correct?

I do need to clarify, either you’ve been mistaken or Curt fed you some BS on the rotor spacers he owes me.

Last May I agreed to send Curt $200 for a pair of rotor spacers that hadn’t been made yet, Curt said that he wanted to wait until he had some more people lined-up. I was fine with that since I didn’t need them right away. I figured it’d be a few months. I was also OK with this arrangement since Curt seemed to have a decent e-reputaion here on r3v.

In the fall I contacted him and he told me he was having trouble with the machine shop he was working with, fine. After that I tried to contact him 1/month just for an update.

Back in March I was trying to get my update, I did get him on the phone. At that time he said that he should have the spacers finished by the 5th of April. We agreed to talk again on the phone on the 6th. During that discussion in March I told him that on the 6th I would either want the rotor spacers or my $200. I tried to get ahold of him on the 6th and haven’t gotten any response since.

So if I am a scammer, I’m the worst scammer of all time since $$ has left my wallet for goods that I’ve never received.

#1 OP, You have a set of spacers that I shipped out late last summer/fall. The new round was an update with a little better fitment and with a provision for a hold down screw, and I told everyone that when and IF I had them done, I would be okay swapping them out.

I don't know where you are getting this BS idea that since I don't log on to this site much anymore that you can go running your mouth and making false accusations. Figure it out buddy, your story doesn't add up. You are getting an attitude because either A: you think that trying it this way will warrant you the updated and higher quality units (lmao, wrong way to go about it there bucko) or B: you cant find your set to send back and figured it would be easier to claim you never got them. Seriously, this is a year later buddy. If this were legit, you would have been at me MONTHS ago for a refund or product. Instead, you have been politely asking me for updated on my next round of units up until I talk to you ala phone and tell you I am a little too busy and moreso done with car forums. Interesting...

You called me I spoke with you, at that point I had the intention still of doing another batch. I told you my delays on having my materials and schematics disappear, and a rough time line if I was going to have them made. Then allowing exchanges for the couple people that were interested. Since, work has gotten crazy & a few other projects have come up, so I don't have the need or desire to remake another batch.

#2 Bob and I had a deal, I offered to send out his items several times and he said no no no, wait for the clip bs. I waited, then in Feb, work got crazy, and I lost interest for forums such as these. An oversight on my end still waiting for the 'right' colored plugs allowed the panels to sit here for a few more weeks. I got tired of looking at them and sent them out. Within a couple days Bob and I connected via PMs, and all was well. Was my fault for not sending them by the date he needed, but I had so many messages saying hold them, that was all I could pull up so I went off that. I got distracted with work, it happens, and in no way was there ANY screwing of anyone on the deal.

Bob, if there was something missing beyond those clips, let me know as I just sorted a large part of my parts inventory last week in getting ready for yet another e30 rebuild this month.
