reiger lip and slammed a bad combination... This lasted about a week
HR race with Reiger
I remember this car :D if you still had that spoiler on when t broke we would never be able to put it on the trailer back then... but it looked bitching !
I've seen your car around davis on Sycamore, and Wake forest, I been posting on the DAVIsmsport forum(mrtii). I want to get a ride in your turbo'd 318is, and ask you some questions about it.
I'd love to have a turbo on it too..
or an m52, but im a dreamer.

Im just curious, I read about so many people smashing, destroying, and having lips fly off and driving over them. Is it because they aren't securely mounted ?
Ive had some pretty low cars, my E46 had a low-ass ACS lip that got pretty scraped but never broke or came off.
Had a identical Reiger on my E36 (they look exactly the same for E30 and E36) and never had any problems with that ever flying off, did mess up 1 side pretty bad though. My e36 had similar clearance to that white car pictured, and my E46 is def lower.
Is it because of the material ? The mounting points ? or what ?
To the OP-- That car looks nice. If you buy it, just buy it for yourself. As an investment in a solid car that will be fun to drive and get excellent mileage, you cant beat it. As an investment that will have value and hold value, I think the salvage title will hurt it badly.
For what it's worth my car looked just like that when I bought it for $2200 with 135k on the clock. I sold it with 150k on it for $5000, but it didnt have the salvage title against it.
If I told you ive dropped more than twice the price I paid for wrecked/savaged title car will you feel better. If there is something you want to do to your car do it.
Well, I got a '90 325is that is a salvage title due to it being in a pretty decent front end wreck. It looked like this:
I've spent the last 3 years building up to really just working condition for most every single part (the gauges didn't even work; I mean NOTHING). So after all the builds, swaps and body work, it looks like this:
So, now that all that is said and done, I’ve dropped around $10-12k into the car. So, the only way I could possibly get anywhere close to that amount back out of the car is if it gets totaled and I have a sympathetic insurance adjuster. NO WAY would anyone give me near what it's worth due to the title alone (and due to the fact no one would pay that much anyway for a 325is). To this day, I put at least $200 a month into it, some months way more. WORST INVESTMENT EVER.
I would do it all over again in a heart beat... I love that soul wrenching piece of metal.
