    85 535i - worth the swap?

I was messing around on CL and found this listing for an 85 535i:

If the engine was in good shape and didn't need much work you think it would be worth spending say $650 and doing a swap?

Edit: Also Thoughts on what I could get out of it by parting? What good forums are there for the 80's 5 series?

ok Now I just keep finding cheap cars for possible swaps into my iS shell. Check out this '83 633csi listing

I bought a cheap 535i off craigslist to use for parts in my m30 swap. I was able to sell some things, but there isn't really a market to help you with a part out with.

The car was also a piece of shit. I ended up only using the transmission, and even that isn't in good shape.

I guess what I'm getting at is be careful what you buy, because cheap cars usually turn out to be just that.

Thats what I figured, I got lucky with my current parts car since it has almost zero run and then engine was great. As a whole it was the best buy I could have made for $500. I was thinking about throwing the m30 into the shell of my parts car if I could get it cheap. As far as parting it really I'd just be looking to make back what I spent on it, but I didn't think there would really be much of a market.
