    Hello from Western PA

I've been lurking for a little while here, but I finally got some decent photos of my E30 and wanted to introduce myself.

I've had a '71 2002 for seven years, and in November I got an '87 325 as a commuter into Pittsburgh (about 50 miles one-way). It's in really great shape for a PA car with 163k miles (no rust!), and it's bone stock except for a short-shift kit. I have some dreams but no modification plans right now. Yes, I know it's as high as a 4WD pickup. No, it doesn't bug me much.

In the 5,000 miles I've had it, the only problem has been some cooling system troubles that were some combination of coolant only good to +5 F, a bad fan clutch and a thermostat that was still stamped "Made in W. Germany." It's running great now.

Anyway, on with the pics. Washed and waxed it today.

I understand that over on VW Vortex the next picture is required. I don't really understand why, and I'm not sure if it's also required here, but I thought it was better to be safe...

Welcome, that's a nice little commuter you've got there. Looks like you got your money's worth. Not sure about the last pic though.

Looks like you've got some collision damage on the driver's fender? The mudflaps facilitate in the 4X4 look, lol.

                  Welcome to R3V,

I'm over near Youngstown, OH which is about an hour away. I have an '86 ETA that I'll be parting out this summer, so let me know if you need anything.

(I also have a spare M30B35 and possibly an extra M50B25 if you get the urge to do a swap.)
