The rear plastic window in my very just split in half!

Left the top down all day and was putting the top back up at 10pm, got the top out, was pushing down on the front of the roof like normal to engage the clamps when I hear a 'pop'

Didn't think anything of it, got in the car and started driving and when I look at the rear view mirror I see a big gap in the plastic.

So did the plastic window just break on anyone else when putting the roof back up?

Your window is old and brittle and you did it when it was cold. Avoid shifting your plastic window when its cold out. Its not as malleable then.

I thought it might have been a combination of age and the temperature drop tonight that caused it to break.

So is replacing the rear window a big $$$ job as I'm sure it isn't a DIY.

is it a zip or sew in?

That is a sew in window.

Are zip in windows more prone to leaks? If not then I might do a conversion.

WTF? Dude, maybe she isnt meant to be in the PNW, send her back.

That really sucks, but a crisp clear new window will make her even tighter.
