    what the *$*#

So i've had this 85 325e for a few weeks now, problem free.. now it decided to act up like a retard. After a longer drive.. say 30 miles, i let the cruise off and the car nose dives.. touch the gas and it wants to go go go.. like an on off switch. Then i come to a stop and put the clutch in, the car surges in idle like crazy.. from about 700-1500, put some load on it by letting the clutch out a bit and it stops.. I drove it quite hard after it did this, and it quit doin it, untill i drove home again.. same shit over n over n over.

Try disconnecting the cruise cable from the TB and see if it still acts up

Make sure that the small round cable spacer at the throttle body is not falling out loose. You test this without the car running. Get under the hood, open the throttle by hand 100% and see if the small cable spacers stay with the line of follows the arm on the throttle body. If the spacers dont stay put, a small dab of superglue will fix it. You will understand more when you try the test out. GL

the throttle body plate doesnt move at all when it does this, it did it agian today when i had it idling. I turned the car off, and back on instantly and it was fine again. Its really starting to anger me.
