    Radiator Supprt Removal?

I've searched using a couple different keyword phrases and can't find anything on how to remove the radiator support. What is the best way for me to remove the radiator support? am I just going to need to cut it from the frame?

That's the only way it comes off. One thing I'm totally jealous of VW guys for, at least in the MkI/II/III cars. It comes out just by unbolting it. Ours is part of the frame. You can hack it out, but you'll have to weld it back in, and it better be perfect.

Wrong! Use a drill and a good dewalt drill bit. I have removed them before, you need to drill out all the stamped little circles.I'll try to post pics to better describe it.

yes please post pics, if that is a cleaner way to remove it please let me know and post pics! I have a full set of Rigid metal drill bits as well as Dewalt regulars. I have a great new Rigid Angle Grinder but drilling would be better since I'm shipping it to someone on here,

make your life easier and go to a bodyshop supply and buy some spot weld drill bits. those little dimples are spot welds and the metal is harder there because of it.

so are you parting a car or are you fixing the core support on the one that you are removing it from?

I'll definitely look into the spot weld drill bit tomorrow.

I'm actually selling this support. It's coming off of my parts car and I need to do everything I can to get this thing out of my garage so I can make space for new parts and start actually working on my car. I'll help to get this support out because then I can finally pull the block and tranny. I don't have a hoist so I'm gonna put it on a furniture dolly and roll it out.

Harbor freight has a spot weld drill bit. A lot of MG guys use them and they work very well. Cheap too.
