Can a faulty fuel level sender cause the OBC readouts to blank?

I got a new OBC(13) about a month ago. I initially had an issue with it not reading any of the sensor read outs (mpg, range, fuel level, avg mph, etc).

After disconnecting the battery for a valve adjustment, all the readouts worked.

My fuel level readout has been all over the place since the new OBC was put in. It's all over the map in the cluster as well as the OBC.

I bought a used fuel level sender and put it in this past weekend, while doing another valve adjustment.

I'm again getting no read outs from anything with a sensor on the OBC and the cluster fuel gauge isn't moving off Full. I've tried disconnecting the battery, and it's still the same.

Any idea what the problem could be? I didn't have a fuel level readout problem until the new OBC was put in (which was put in by the ins. companies go-to shop after the theft.)

    Anyone?

As of today my temp readout on the OBC is going crazy (-11?? It's 32 outside.) and my cluster fuel gauge is either below Empty or flickering around rapidly, as opposed to just staying on Full like it was before.

Yea maybe. It just bugs me that it worked fine before the new OBC. But the OBC is brand new.

is there a way to test the SI board?
