    questions on a e30

im looking to buy my 1st e30 thats why i joined up here i have 2 freinds that are already members and said heres a great place to find a car. i found one in my area and i was wondering what people thought of it, and what questions should i ask the seller? what problematic things should i look for?

    this is the posting
    1988 325 supereta e30
    5 speed
    roughly 120k miles
very long list of mods, cosmetic: vis carbon fiber hood, vis carbon fiber rear lip, blue head lights, yellow fogs, momo italy steering wheel, ac schnitzer shift knob
perpormance mods are: bravado cat back exhaust, short ram intake, chip, bav auto plugs and wires, ebiach lowering springs, bilstien shocks, brembo drilled rotors, and over sized front cylipers.

spare parts: performance headers, stock steering wheel, and misc parts

    hes asking 4k

    any help would rock

Obviously this doesn't tell the whole story, but my suggestion would be to look for a car that has a laundry list of maintenance done instead of a laundry list of questionable mods....they're more fun when you research and pick them yourself anyway.

If lucky, the E36 will die peacefully, in its natural habitat, and be given the prestigious honor of donating its parts to an E30

i found the link to the ad. i was just curious as to what i should look for that could be a problem. i called him and asked the only thing that doesnt function is the tach.

to answer someone else who asked, i dont really drift i prefer more of track racing. one more class and a car and i can have my scca licence
