miller performance W.A.R chip anyone seen this?

i just came across there site... wondering if anyone knows anytinng about them....

The WAR Chip is not your standard BMW performance chip. It is a specially designed product that allows you to increase your performance of your engine in many ways. You can run multiple tunes on one chip, with the mini switch you can switch between 4 different tunes that can be stored on the WAR Chip. For example you can have, a street tune, a race tune and a valet tune stored on the WAR Chip which you can select between anytime with the mini switch.

The Mini USB connector gives you endless tuning possibility. With our WAR Chip Windows software you can custom tune your engine. Unlike traditional performance chips, the WAR Chip gives you the ability to modify your tune to suit any engine modifications you made. You will no longer have to worry about buying another chip or paying for a custom tune - you can do it yourself!

this could come in really handy for people who buy a regular performance chip then swap in some 19lb injectors and now want to get a new chip for another $200+

There's a thread over on BimmerForums talking about it with Brody and Jim Conforti (for real!) posting their own comments.

Miller performance is in my neck of the woods.

They were the ones who tried to make the m42 chip do convert to MAF, and abandon the project after selling several hundred pre-orders.

            I'm just sayin...

did they rip the pre-order clients off, or return money?

BimmerForums seems to be down, or at least I can't connect to it right now. When it's back up, it'll most likely still be on the first page of the Forced Induction subforum.

Hondata did this same type of thing a few years ago with their release of the S300, no more romulators and chip burners. This will be great if its priced close to that, $600.

The s300 does have quite a lot of features though.. http://hondata.com/s300.html

I believe, when I was reading that thread on BF.c, that they are aiming the basic chip to be around 350. (I think)

this sounds very exciting, esp. for us built m20 strokers, hehehe. I hope this product really gets off the ground successfully, and they sell like hotcakes. The e30 scene needs hot innovations like this. I am scared and intimidated of megasquirt, and need a tune pronto vive.
