bad squealing sound

My 84 318i is making an awful squeal. its when i hit the gas and since my car isnt idleing right, its also when the engine revs up . i am thinking maybe a belt, if so which one would be most suspect? any other suggestions?

Most likely the power steering or alternator belt-my guess would be the alternator belt, but you are the only one that can determine that for sure.
