    2.7i > 2.5????

Is a 2.7i faster than a stock 2.5, or are they about the same? I know someone will tell me to search but I couldn't find anything. I want to do one or the other, which one????

Are you referring the 2.7 to say, an eta motor? Then no, a 2.5i motor is faster than a 2.7e motor. But if you're referring the 2.7 as a stroker i motor, then yes..it is slightly faster than a 2.5i motor. A 3.73 gearing would be best. I have a 2.93lsd with a stroked i motor and it is pretty slow off the line because of that. As it should be. Horray for going 60 mph at a hair under or at 2k rpms :)

edit: I totally missed the fact that you said a 2.7i. So yes is the answer.

So I'm guessing when it says 2.5 put out 160 thats not whp??? Thats what was confusing to me. But then it says like 125kw, im guessing that stands for whp?
