          Same as motorcyles, the fuel injectors high up in the intake tract come online at high RPM. The longer distance supposedly gives the fuel more time to atomize more completely and thus burn better.

                        I've heard its a nightmare to tune for itb's, can anyone comment on this?

                          unless you have some sort of plenum that the itb's are drawing air from (like on s54's or euro s50/2's) which you can put an afm on the inlet of you have to run alpha n fuel mapping, so yah more complicated to tune i'd say, afaik apha N is pretty finnicky to mess around with.

                              Plenty of other options for fuel management, and no they aren't that difficult to tune if you are familiar with it.
