Is there a market for this part??

Last month I picked up a center console that does not have the hole for the power window switches. It is very clean and in very good shape.

Just wondering how much something like this is worth. I'm debating on keeping it in my stash of e30 parts just in case I decide to convert my e30 to manual windows.

Give me your 2 cents R3V...

Somewhat. Why? Are you selling it?

I have kicked around the idea of going to manual windows and this would be ideal for that swap. Is it brand new or what?

Its definitely not new, but its in very good shape.

I'm trying to figure out how much its worth. That'll help me determine whether I should go out of my way to sell it or not.

If its worth $20, I'll keep it.....$75 I'll sell it.

Bump....anyone else have input on this matter?? Would I have a tough time getting $60 for it if I listed it?

I like my power windows. But that thing is clean. Worth depends on what you plan to do with it.

If lucky, the E36 will die peacefully, in its natural habitat, and be given the prestigious honor of donating its parts to an E30

Ya i have manuel everything and a center console like that. I'd say the console is worth about $50 since you don't see it every day, but it's not incredibly rare. I am eventually going to get heated seats and might put the switches in a different console where the power window switches would be. Where do the heated seat switches actually go?

Yeah, technically, not rare, as you can still buy them new. But rare, only becuase not many US E30's came w/o pwr windows.

And Japandrew, the heated switches go to the right of the e-brake. If you take out that console, you'll see underneath there already is a template for where you should punch out the holes.

I'd say judging by the lack of people clamoring to buy it from this thread, there's your answer. I have one too from a Canadian all-manual car.

It's the rare E30 person that wants to swap to manual windows.

Its only worth what someone else will pay for it...

I dont really know many people willing to downgrade their window situation though for rareness. I occasionally find these in junk yards too.

are there center consoles with the power window switch holes but no cutout for the window breaker switch? i cant seem to find a switch that isnt broken, and i would love to delete that useless button.

Yes. Keep an eye out in early models. They had the breaker up by the hazard switch.

I'm just about to remove mine. Converting to power windows, manual ones get old real quick.
