Should I get another car or do something to my E30?

I just got a job that pays decent, but the downside is I drive a lot. Good thing is that my agency pays for mileage. 55 cents per mile. So I am thinking of getting another car. Very specifically, a 2002-2005 Subaru sport wagon 5 speed under 55k miles. So should I get this or should I just get a personal loan and throw in an s52 in the e30. What do I do?? The bad part is the car will be in the hospital for a long long time and I need it. Give me some input guys.

2009 vw rabbit ftw, what's it like 16 g's? Good gas mileage, pretty reliable, disposable. You won't feel bad about putting a million miles on it. Or you can scoop up a cobalt, those 2.2 ecotech's seem pretty reliable, I work with 4 guys with that motor non of which have serious issues. There cheap little econoboxes they seem to run quite well. Plus buy a new one and contribute to our economy!

look into vw's for daily drivers. the 2.0t's are great and the diesels are nice too.

I was looking at something used, and I really wanted a wagon so I could carry my mountain bike around. Thats why I thought a subby would be nice. I found one with 53k miles for 12,500, clean title and never modded. But the thing about using my e30 for my job is... I transport clients and they are always in and out of my freshly reupholstered with suede e30. UGGHH.

Going into debt for an s50 doesn't make sense.

You can keep what you have and keep using it.

Or you can get something newer. Honestly, you can pick up a newish civic for not a lot and have a really reliable car. If you have no problem dropping 12grand for a subaru then that seems like what you want to do.

If you are taking clients around a lot, you might even consider an e39 5 series. They are fairly cheap now, and are very comfortable. If you get a wagon you can still carry bikes and stuff, but it will eventually need rear suspension carrier bushings.

The Subie is nice, but for highway driving I'd rather have something more comfortable if you are going to keep the e30.

Id buy a honda or toyota, you can put miles on them and not only will they not care, theyll be worth something with over 100k.

Bear in mind that e39s will generally need new interior displays and a cooling system revamp, becasuse the cooling system is pretty weak.

a 1996 Imapala SS would be a fun car, and usually less than 8k.
