Northern VA, MD and PA Guys...

Does anyone know of a good auto salvage yard that will let you pull parts off of cars in the area?? I am willing to drive if it is a good yard.

I haven't had ANY luck finding a place around here (NOVA). Which is disheartening as I would imagine there are quite a few e30's to be had locally, judging by the sheer number of them still on the road. I see about 5 to 7 a day on average.

SOO, I am putting the feelers out here on the board.

    Thanks much!

    Hi,

I know of a couple in the Richmond area- they usually have a couple of E30's and/or E28's, but they get picked over VERY quickly.

What parts are you looking for?? Surely someone on this board could help you- I've got a bunch of E30 parts cars too.....

Not sure where that is. Is it in MD? Looking for some myself in the area in Montgomery County or Frederick County area...

there is a place in waynesboro pennsylvania called newcomers, but I dont know how many bmws they have. there is also a huge (largest i have ever seen) salvage yard near somerset pa, but that is a haul from arlington. Practically nothing in md, my slavage yard has 2 late models and a good bit of early, but they are basically stripped to the max. Nothing newer than 89. I would like to have a nice parts supply

Brandywine is down in southern Maryland, like the Waldorf area. I haven't been there in literally years, but I know it's a huge place. I beleive they have a site as well.

Actually, Brandywine is now a chain of yards around the DC area. The particular yard where Bimmers are put out to pasture is in Upper Marlboro, but I don't think it matters much because they pull most useful parts themselves and their prices are absurd.

While we're talking about it, I've heard that GM and Ford have quietly bought most salvage yards in order to control the cores for rebuilds of GM and Ford stuff. Anyone got the scoop on this?
