Don't know how to explain, but driving E30 is like having sex with a girl of your dreams, but the girl is a bit inexperienced, so you have to show her what to do and she will do it beautifully! ohhh man... after I got the 5sp tranny in it, it is all new love all over again! :)))

So by lacquer you mean clear coat? Or lacquer based paint?

What is going on? And FYI, if you are just touching up, the dealer is great, but if buying in quantities, I would not go there. Just have a reputable paint shop mix the paint up for you. It will be the same color but less expensive.

I already bought the paint, thank you ! By lacquer I was reffering to clear coat .
I went to a local paint shop and mixed the paint .

            Yes,

Its a 2 stage paint job so that means that one would spray the base coat , let it tack up for 10 min and then shoot another coat of paint. Then wait 10 min and shoot another. Then after the base coat has dried clean your paint gun really well and then mix some clear coat - usually one mixes the clear coat with a reducer in equal parts and then a catalyst that allows the clear coat to cure after being applied. Before spraying the clear shoot some on a test item that you dont care about because you want 100 % clear coming out of the spray gun and not clear coat that still has dabbles of base colored paint in it. I call that a "blurp" and I have done them in the past by accident and learned my lesson.
