E30 Door Card Roundel or Emblem?

I have a 1991 325i vert. Both front door cards have these symmetrical 4 holes in the same place.

It doesn’t look like a window crank hole, and I haven’t found any door card pictures online with the same holes.

Does anyone know what went here, or have suggestions for what I could put in place/cover the holes with (roundel/emblem) Thanks!

-I appreciate all the great help here! I found my e30 last year, and have been slowly bringing it back to factoryish since. This is an awesome community to be part of.

I bet you 10$ it was a cheap solution for cupholders.
Id suggest finding a large enough emblem and cover it or do a vinyl overlay. Or maybe something to fill the holes thats close in color?
85% of the time i have no idea what I'm doing

My second E30 had these in it when I purchased it, so I recognized the holes. Just ended up finding some used door cards, which is really the only proper way to fix those holes.

Used cards are the way to go, natur for a coupe shouldn't be hard to find or expensive.
