So check it out. I bought my 84 318 from a guy who was not an e30 enthusiast and just wanted to get rid of it. So I buy this thing and notice that the whole shell RATTLES. Like the whole damn car shakes as I drive. I knew the car was in rough shape to begin with but this was just unreasonable. So as I'm diagnosing the engine and trying to bring it up to stock I notice something..... THE MOTOR MOUNTS ARE 3 BOLTS. No WONDER the damn thing was shaking so much. It's nothing serious and I replaced the mounts to OEM and it runs fine but smh..... I just thought you guys might get a kick out of this.

Cheap way to get solid mounts

Can't have been like that too long as I'd think it would eventually cause the subfame to crack.
