84/85 318i wiper linkage removal input appreciated

Need to replace new motor and want to check/clean linkage at same time.Didn't realize You have to almost take out the whole heater blower box as well, UGH.the Bentley does an average job of educating you but not NEAR enough.Any advice would be appreciated,thanks

it's like tetris getting it in and out of there. It helps to break it all loose and then remove the motor from the linkage and then remove each individually. makes for a few inches of wiggle room but still not easy. wear a back brace, you're gonna be hunched over for a while.
